Cool Software Trials & Free Stuff

2007-02-14

computer ready for cool stuffI really just got started on home computing (I've been working with computers for a while just not home computing.)  I've been surfing way too much.  Here's a list of my favorite trial software downloads:

Expression Web 30 day trial: Create web pages.  It's Microsofts new update to frontpage.  I didn't have a clue how to work it.  Watch the video, it helped me.

Microsoft Office 2007 30 day trial: You may have to sign in to your hotmail account (if you don't have one you'll need one to get this download) It's beyond me right now.  They moved everything.  It'll take me 30 days to find everything.  Nevertheless, it's cool.

Microsoft Money Essensials 90 day trial:  After you used it 90 days you'll be stuck.  LOL but it's like a 90 days same as cash.

Adobe Creative Suite 2 30 day evaluation:  This one's not a download.  You have to order a disk.  I really don't think I'll purchase this after the 30 days.  It's the complete creative package including Photoshop, Go Live and others.  It's jam packed!

HERE'S SOME LINKS TO SOME COOL FREE STUFF:

e-sword The free Bible Program:  This is a great study tool.  The key to making the most of this is to download the accessories.  Just click on the combo box on top of the screen and download away!

Powertoys for Windows XP:  Lots of cool stuff to beaf up your Windows XP.  I especially liked the Tweak UI program and the Sysinternals Process Explorer.  Tweak UI lets you tweak your user interface.  The Sysinternals Process Explorer is a Windows Task Manager on steroids.

Cute PDF:  Free pdf creator.  It's the fastest one I've found yet.  The creator is no strings attached but the PDF tools program is adware crazy.  I use both though, their great tools for free.

McAfee Siteadvisor:  This is, to me, an indispensable web search tool.  When you search for something on google, yahoo, msn this tool shows whats good and bad before you go to the site.  This is a great freebe and for me, a life saver.

Adobe essensials:  Most of these are necessary just to surf the web.  You probably already have them.  You can actually download a trial of Acrobat 8 but most people only need the reader.

These should keep any enthusiast busy for a little while.

God Bless!
